Description
RFP VA263-08-RP-0272 The VISN 23 Contracting Office intends to acquire for the VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN a replacement Commercial-type Dryer/Tumbler as outlined below. Offeror to provide, TURN-KEY INSTALLATION and shall furnish all, supervision, labor, equipment, and supplies necessary to meet the terms and conditions of this contract in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) in accordance with RFP VA263-08-RP-0272. This includes delivery and installation of new laundry equipment in conformance with the following set of specifications. All items provided by the contractor shall be new unless otherwise specified else where in the solicitation. In addition, VA requires the removal of the existing laundry equipment that will be utilized as a trade-in. Equipment and materials shall be suitable for installation in available space, arranged for safe and convenient operation and maintenance and if applicable with referenced specifications, include lock-out and tag-out requirements for all industrial equipment offered. The following system components are sought: One (1) each Dryer/Tumbler, Conditioning, 400-500 Pound, Gas, Commercial-type, Pass-through, 480V, 3-Phase, 60 Cycle. Must meet all other requirements of VA specifications including de-installation, installation, rigging, plumbing and pressure work, electrical, all labor and materials and complete operator and service manuals. Two (2) Training Materials and Videos: Contractor shall submit training materials and training videos (prepared in VHS, CD or DVD format) on each piece of equipment for operation and maintenance. Separate training videos shall be made for operation and maintenance and shall not be combined. Three (3) Trade-in of Challenge-Cook 400 Pound Gas Dryer, Model DFG II, SN 593386. SEE solicitation documents for Scope of Work and detailed requirements. New systems must be FDA 501K certified. ++ TURN-KEY INSTALLATION is defined as the complete de-installation and removal of the old equipment, the complete installation of the new equipment and systems, connecting the new systems to Government utilities, as required, providing the Government with a system that is complete, functional, and ready to utilize on patients, and the restoration of walls, floors and ceilings. The Government will bring utilities into close proximity to the installation site but will not be responsible for the final connections. NAICS 334512, 500 employees. POC: Suzanne Angelo.
