Description
The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), located in Bethesda, MD on the National Naval Medical Campus has a requirement for the purchase of a single Laboratory Grade Glassware Washer. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested. This is a request for quotations (RFQ) in accordance with FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is the responsibility of the contractor to monitor FedBizOpps for any amendments to the solicitation. This RFQ incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 05-215. This procurement is set aside for small businesses only. All interested offerors must be registered on the Central Contractor Registration website ( www.ccr.gov ) under NAICS code 423490 (Other Professional Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers) by July 22, 2008. The contractor shall provide pricing for the following Contract Line Item Number (CLIN): CLIN Description 0001 Freestanding Glassware Washing Machine (Quantity = 1) 0002 Installation and Training 0003 Shipping Fees (If applicable) Further specifications and instructions concerning CLIN 0001 and CLIN 0002 will be found in the attached Statement of Work USUHS will award a firm fixed price contract resulting from this solicitation. The evaluation factors that will go into finding the responsible offeror are as follows: Price – Offerors are to provide pricing for each CLIN. Offerors must also provide the unit of issue and the unit cost for each CLIN. Technical – Offerors are to provide product literature containing details of the machine, details of the installation and/or training, delivery time, and warranty information. Award will be made on a best value determination considering price and non-price factors. Interested offerors must also provide DUNS and tax identification numbers. A single award is anticipated within a week after receipt of quotes. USUHS reserves the right to award without discussions. Additionally, offerors should know that this requirement has not been funded and all quotes need to be valid until September 30, 2008. All questions must be directed by email to tosin.abari.CTR@usuhs.mil. Questions will be addressed in an amendment to the RFQ. No questions will be answered over the phone. Any questions submitted after July 15, 2008 will not be answered. Quotes shall be accepted by email only. No other methods of submission will be accepted.
