- FE WARREN AFB LAUNCH CONTROL SUPPORT BUILDING SPECIFICATIONS FOR STANDBY GENERATOR DIESEL FUEL DAY TANK Tank shall be manufactured of heavy gauge steel lap joint construction with secondary containment. Pump, electric motor, control circuitry mounted to top of tank. Specifications as listed below: Must comply with UL-142 listing for above ground day tanks. Capacity: 25 US Gallons. Maximum size: 24" wide, 20" deep, 33" High. Double wall construction for secondary containment. Heavy duty steel cover. 1 1/2" NPT fuel level gauge. Heavy duty float switch. "Press to test" switch. "Pump-running" indicator light. Interior - epoxy coated. Exterior - gray enamel. 1 1/4" NPT vent connection and vent cap with stainless steel wire screen. Emergency vent connections - size specified by UL-142 4 each, top-mounted 1" NPT connections; fuel outlet, fuel return, alternate fuel return, and overflow. Heavy duty 1/3 HP, 115-120 VAC, 1 P, 60 Hz. motor with 2 GPM bronze high lift gear pump with stainless steel shafts. 3/8" NPT tank drain connection. All internal plumbing preconnected. Hard wired control wiring with socketed, replaceable relays. Sight glass with guard, top and bottom manual shutoff valves. Low Fuel Level Alarm, 120 VAC. Float switch activates red light on control panel at 84% of usable fuel capacity with relay and relay contacts wired to terminal strip for remote alarm. Relay contacts rated at 10 amps. High Fuel Level Alarm, 120 VAC. Float switch activates red light on control panel at 103% of usable fuel capacity with relay and relay contacts wired to terminal strip for remote alarm.
