- TACOM LCMC (RI) is seeking sources interested in providing the EISC Packaging and Palletization Support Branch of US Army US Army Armament Research, Development & Engineering Center located at Rock Island Arsenal with the following engineering support services: technical support services as may be required to resolve Government War on Terrorism (GWOT) issues and other logistical needs for packaging and palletization; reviews, analyses and studies of production methods/processes and data in support of product quality and cost including evaluation of production capabilities and capacities, and resolution of technical and manufacturing problems related to packaging and palletization and recommending alternative methods in support of ammunition logistics; and evaluating ECPs and Requests for Deviations (RFDs) pertaining to packaging and palletization and make recommendations. Required skills include a minimum of 8 years experience in contract and prediction support of ammunition packaging and palletization, knowledge of packaging and palletization materials, pallet manufacturing and metal container fabrication and experience in resolving packaging and palletization discrepancies and packaging ammunition retrograde. Travel may be required but should not exceed 3 days at any one time. INSTRUCTIONS TO INTERESTED PARTIES: Request that all interested offerors must provide a capability statement and detail their previous work experience in the areas listed above. Work performed within the past three years is considered relevant experience for this sources sought announcement response. Please include in the capability statement Points of Contact who can provide additional information if requested. This announcement does not restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition strategy. The Government reserves the right to consider acquisition strategies as deemed appropriate.
