- 250KW/312KVA GENERATOR SET This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for design and production of a 250KW/312KVA Generator Set for use by United States Air Force (USAF) personnel. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. Our acquisition strategy is a 6-year contract (up to two basic plus four option years) and will start in FY09. At this time approximately 180 production units (45 per year) is the best estimate. The 250KW/312KVA Generator set is a multi-fuel, diesel engine driven generator set capable of providing 250KW/312 KVA at 115/200 VAC at 400 HZ. Additionally, the generator is to feature an on-board 4 cable distribution system to deliver the output power to different loads. Please review the attached Purchase Specification for more details of the generator set. Interested contractors should respond IAW the attached SSS Capability Survey document not later than 11 August 2008.
