- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), National Acquisitions Section, intends to issue a solicitation for various ammunition. The solicitation will be a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The Contractor shall provide ammunition to various BOP locations throughout the United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico on an as needed basis. The various ammunition and estimated quantities consist of: 9MM Lugar 124 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point (1,000,000 each); 12 Gauge #4 Buckshot 27 Pellets (160,000 each); 12 Gauge #7 ½ shot (160,000 each); 12 Gauge Rifled Slug 1 oz. (80,000 each); Cartridge.308 168 Grain Boat Tail (80,000 each); 9MM Lugar 115 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point (1,000,000 each); 223 Caliber 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket (1,500,000 each); 9MM Lugar 124 Grain Jacket Ball (1,000,000 each). All ammunition must be new initial load. NO RELOADED ammunition will be accepted, inclusive of factory or otherwise. All ammunition must be manufactured in the United States. The estimated quantities are for the base year period and each subsequent option year period. This solicitation will result in a single award or multiple award, indefinite delivery, requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The Base Year period will be from date of award through 12 months; Option Period One period shall be from 13 months through 24 months; Option Period Two period shall be from 25 months through 36 months; Option Period Three shall be from 37 months through 48 months; and Option Period Four shall be from 49 months through 60 months. The solicitation will be available on or about June 10, 2008, and will be distributed solely through Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The FBO website provides downloading instructions. Hard copies of the solicitation document will NOT be available. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone requests or written requests for solicitation will be accepted. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the BOP must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database at www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes will be on or about June 30, 2008. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Added: <input type="hidden" name="dnf_class_values[procurement_notice][description][1][added_on]" value="2008-06-18 15:45:56">Jun 18, 2008 3:45 pm Modified: <input type="hidden" name="dnf_class_values[procurement_notice][description][1][modified_on]" value="2008-07-09 13:39:54">Jul 09, 2008 1:39 pm Track Changes The purpose of this amendment to the Pre-solicitation notice for Various Ammunition, RFQ-NAS-0201-08, is to replace the 6th sentence in the Description, which reads, "This solicitation will result in a single award or multiple award, indefinite delivery, requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices". The 6th sentence should read "The BOP anticipates making a single award of an indefinite delivery, requiremens type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. However, the BOP reserves the right to make multiple awards if one or more of the line items cannot be supplied at a fair and reasonable price by one vendor. This amendment also changes the receipt of quotes due date from July 16, 2008, to on or about July 28, 2008. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
