- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial itemsprepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued separate from this announcement. Solicitation DE-RQ65-08WG78952 is issued as a Request for Quotation. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. A Firm Fixed Price Contract will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation is Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industrial Code (NAICS) is 541620 and the business size standard is $6.5Million. COMMERCIAL ITEM SPECIFICATION SAMPLING & TESTING OF OIL-FILLED ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT The U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, Desert Southwest Region requires the following: SEE ATTACHED BID SCHEDULE, LIST OF EQUIPMMENT AND PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT Work shall be completed within 45 days after work start date. The following FAR clauses/provisions are applicable to this acquisition. FAR Clause/Provisions: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items. Offerors should include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, found at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/vffara.htm or, complete a copy in the ORCA database http://orca.bpn.gov. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. Written offers and the above required information are due July 16, 2008 by 11:00 AM local time to Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, Desert Southwest Region, P.O.
