Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for brand name commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number GCQ081022 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) with an open date of 07/10/2008 and close date of 07/24/2008. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-26. This requirement is a small-business set-aside (only qualified offerors may submit an offer, under the associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 424910 with a size standard of 100 employees. In accordance with FAR 11.105 an agency may solicit particular brand name products essential to the Government's requirements if other products do not meet or cannot be modifiied to meet the agency's needs. Based on Washington Office Information Memorandum IB-2007-111 dated September 5, 2007, the Bureau of Land Management requires the following brand name or common name herbicides and associated products be used. These products have been considered and analyed through the NEPA process and approved by the BLM's New Mexico State Office via a pesticide use proposal. Only products with the Brand name, company name and EPA registration numbers below will be evaluated.
