- SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES. Services are required for the construction of two facilities, a specially designed 53,256 SF Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC) of permanent tilt up and concrete block walls with brick veneer, concrete floors, modified bitumen and standing seam metal roof, a one story structure with mechanical and electrical equipment. Functional areas include assembly hall, classrooms, library, training and storage areas, kitchen, administrative areas, arms vault, flammable storage and locker rooms. Outside supporting facilities include rigid military vehicle parking area, privately-owned vehicle parking area of flexible pavement, fencing, sidewalks, exterior fire protection, outside lighting, access roads, detached facility sign, wash platform and flagpole. A 31,473 SF Field Maintenance Shop (FMS) with maintenance work-bays, administrative, storage, latrine areas and a flammable storage facility. The building will be tilt up construction and masonry block with brick veneer, concrete floors, masonry block partitions with standing seam metal roofing system. Supporting facilities include rigid military vehicle parking, flexible payment customer vehicle parking, fencing, wash platform, lube & inspection rack, control waste handling facility, sidewalks, outside lighting, 15 ton crane and access roads, two unheated cold storage buildings at 3,288 SF and 1,200 SF. Energy management control systems, high efficiency motors, lighting, and HVAC systems will be incorporated throughout the facilities. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542. The applicable small business size standard including affiliates is no more than $31.0 Million average annual revenue for the previous three years. Plans and specifications will be available for inspection without charge at 2811 W Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus, Ohio in the Purchasing and Contracting Office or by contacting George McCann.
