Description
The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is seeking proposals (Standard Form 171's or 612’s) from Third Country Nationals (TCNs) or U.S. citizens interested in providing the PSC services – Regional Environment Program Specialist (Coral Triangle Initiative), USAID/RDMA, Bangkok, Thailand. General Roles and Responsibilities: The Regional Environment Program Specialist formulates strategies for the RDMA’s environmental programs, designs and manages a variety of regional- and country-level environmental programs and activities in Asia, and coordinates these activities through collaborative relationships with the USAID Missions and US Embassies as well as with representatives from other USG agencies, national and local governments, businesses, NGOs, and donor organizations. A particular area of focus for this position is the conservation and sustainable use of coastal and marine resources, including integrated coastal management, sustainable coastal livelihoods, sustainable fisheries, climate change adaptation, and disaster preparedness. Working throughout Asia, the incumbent will ensure program consistency with the RDMA’s strategy and integrate cross-cutting themes into program approaches, including human and institution capacity building, environmental governance, public-private partnerships, regional cooperation, gender issues, human health, economic development, poverty reduction, and information and communications technology. The Regional Environment Program Specialist reports to the Regional Environment Director.
