Description
The Texas Air National Guard, 136th Airlift Wing (136AW), Fort Worth, TX (TXANG) is requesting pricing and/or information for market research and planning purposes in regards to the installation and minor repair of a pre-fabricated structure (hence forth referred to as hangar). THIS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY, AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS THE GOVERNMENTS INTENT TO ISSUE ANY RESULTING SOLICITATION. The 136AW shall not pay respondents for information provided in response to this announcement. The Government seeks information on the following requirement: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to repair and install a 150 x 100 x 46 hangar which was previously utilized by, and received from, a fellow Air National Guard unit. The hangar was manufactured by Big Top Manufacturing. The Government performed an inventory of the hangar and has determined the following parts/pieces are on hand and shall be provided as Government Furnished Property (GFP): 66 (ea) bows, 2 (ea) side bows, 22 (ea) columns, 2 (ea) double flap covers, an unspecified number of x-braces, and an unspecified number of bay angles. It is believed that the contractor shall have to provide a hardware package, tension tube, and materials required to repair flap cover. The contractor shall be responsible for field verifying and inspecting all GFP, as well as determining and providing all additional parts necessary in accordance with manufacturers specifications and drawings. The contractor shall include in its offer, the replacement and/or repair of any GFP that is considered to be in such a condition that it may result in the loss of structural integrity, safety, or quality. No site preparation or hookup of utilities would be required. Only minor construction related to the installation may be required. The Government will provide a site visit upon request.
