Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The soliciation is issued with the clauses and provision in accordance with FAC 05-26. The Missouri Army National Guard has a requirement for fuel, #2 diesel, 10,000 gallons to be pumped into 2,000 gallon tanker. The vendor to be located with 30 mile radius of Ft Chaffee, Arkansas for multiple (five, 5) fuel pick-ups. Due to the volatility in fuel pricing contractor's wishing to participate in the competition are asked to provide their name, address and telephone number for pricing confirmation 48 hrs prior to the first pick-up of fuel. The vendor shall be selected for the first fuel pick-up and 4 subsiquent pick-up from period 26 Jul - 9 Aug 2008. Twenty-four hours pricing and quantity confirmation for each subsequent fuel pick-up shall be obtained by the contracting agent. Variation in the total fuel quantity (10,000 gallons) shall be limited to plus or minus 10 percent variation per FAR Clause 52.211-16. The following provisions and clauses are applicable to this requirement. 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items, 52.212-2 Evaluation - Commercial Items, the government shall award a contract to the offeror that has the most competitive fuel pricing confirmed on 25 July 2008, subsequest fuel pricing quotes for the subsiquent pick-ups must also be competitive and determined to be fair and reasonable.
