- Description
- The US Army Joint Munitions & Lethality Life Cycle Management Command (JM&L LCMC) Acquisition Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems, intends to issue a solicitation for the manufacture and delivery of the M739A1 Point Detonating/Delay (PD/DLY) Fuze. The M739A1 PD/DLY Fuze is the Armys primary fuze for 105mm and 155mm bursting projectiles for point detonating and delay fuze functions. The M739A1 PD/DLY fuze contains an Impact Delay Module (IDM) assembly. The IDM provides fuze initiation delay based upon the completion of mechanical actions caused by projectile deceleration and will function at 3 6 milliseconds after target impact. The Government expects to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract for an approximate base quantity in the range of 10K-40K. The contract will include three option years with ranges for the following approximate quantities: FY10 (10K-50K); FY11 (10K-45K); FY12 (10K-160K). The contract will also include unfunded supplemental Army, Marine Corps and/or Air Force requirements for base and option years as follows: FY09 (10K-25K); FY10 (30K-75K); FY11 (60K- 100K); FY12 (60K-90K). The Government reserves the right to exercise options up to the maximum aggregate quantities available in the base period and the three option periods without regard to the actual FY. The M739A1 PD/DLY Fuze will be manufactured, inspected, assembled, packaged and delivered in accordance with a Government Technical Data Packages (TDP) and applicable contract requirements. The uncertified TDP may be provided via CD-ROM to any interested offerors provided a Non-Disclosure Form is signed and on file. All interested parties will also be required to submit an approved DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement. The DD Form 2345 can be obtained at: www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp. The above referenced uncertified TDP and a copy of the Draft Statement of Work (SOW) will not be released until a signed and approved DD Form 2345 and completed Non-Disclosure Form are received by the POC listed below. The Non-Disclosure Agreement may be obtained via e-mail by sending a request electronically to Renee Prendergast, Contract Specialist, at renee.prendergast@us.army.mil or by calling 973-724- 5742. This procurement will be restricted to the National Technology and Industrial Base (NTIB). It is expected that the solicitation will be posted on the JM&L LCMC Procurement Network on or about 2 September 2008. Numbered notes 13 and 26 are applicable to this effort.
