- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This announcement is for the purpose of soliciting contractors interested in submitting a bid to provide one (1) new (current year) multi-directional forklift, Brand name Drexel SwingMast R-60 Lift Truck. All U.S. are invited to participate in this solicitation. SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Drexel R-60 SwingMast Lift Truck with the following optional items: Clean burn diesel engine, strobe warning light, flashing backup light in amber, red, yellow and blue; headlights, mast and overhead; backup alarm; rear view mirror, fire extinguisher; hydraulic fork positioner; dual 12V batteries; single auxiliary hydraulics, cab with wipers. 2. Optional Item; List, with prices, of recommend consumable items for 400 hours of operation. Contracting Officer will make final selection on both items and quantity to be ordered. CONTRACTING PROCEDURES: The solicitation will be a request for bids IAW FAR Part 14. Bids are due no later than August 4, 2008 at 2:00 local in Winchester, VA, Daylight Savings Time. Bids received after this date and time will not be considered for award. Bids may be mailed to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Attn: Mr. Lynn Johnson, CT-A, P.O. Box 2250, Winchester, VA 22604.1340; or e-mailed to BOTH Lynn.C.Johnson@usace.army.mil and Barbara.V.Byam@usace.army.mil; or hand delivered to either Mr. Lynn Johnson or Ms. Barbara Byam at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Transatlantic Programs Center, 201 Prince Frederick Drive, Winchester, VA. 22602. FAX BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. SUBMISSION OF BIDS: Vendors will be required to submit the following information on company letterhead or business stationary directly to the contracting officer: 1. The request for Invitation for Bid Number (W912ER-08-R-0071); 2. Schedule of Items with Pricing; 3. Contractor Central Registration (CCR) number; 4. A complete copy of the certifications at 52.212-3; Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items (Nov 2006). Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the US Army Corps of Engineers must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database at www.ccr.gov. This solicitation is distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of this solicitation document will not be available. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site.
