Description
This hereby amends Solicitation Number NB610010805603 to provide the following clarification: Vendor 1 Question: SOL refers to “Actual Pump Discharge Pressure” and “Actual Pump Suction Pressure.” What pump is being referred to here? Is this a facility pump that will supply the Radwaste Filter? Or is it a pump to be supplied by the contractor? Answer: The "Radwaste" filter in question shall be used in the Thermal Shield Cooling Water system. The system pumps shall supply the necessary flow to this filter. The system pumps are already in place and are working very well. No separate pump will be required for this filter. Pressures at the discharge and suction of system pumps are given only for sizing the filter housing and the filter cartridge. Vendor 2 Question: Can you please confirm the thickness of the lead and 304ss ? Lead shield around the filter housing shall be minimum 2? thick and clad in 304 SS and minimum 1? thick clad in 304 SS for top closure opening lead shield? Answer: Lead shield around the filter housing shall be minimum 2” thick and clad in 304 SS and minimum 1” thick clad in 304 SS for top closure opening lead shield. Connections: 150 # rated 304 SS weldneck flanged connections at the inlet as well as at outlet. Inlet and outlet piping shall be 1½” in diameter, schedule 40 pipe made of 304 SS. Vent and drain connections shall be 304 SS with suitable sized ball valves. Provide SS Flanged full port ball valves at inlet and outlet. Provide differential pressure gauge suitable for the proper determination of the change of filter cartridge. Installation/Support: Provide proper support and installation arrangement to facilitate easy maneuvering and installation of shielded filter housing. Overall Dimensions: The filter housing should be accommodated in a space 36”Lx36”Wx50”H. If the total weight is prohibitive of handling manually, an arrangement for transportation and easy maneuvering must be provided. Type and Size of Filter Element: Filtering cartridge shall be high dirt loading capacity type, may be 6” in diameter x 30” long in size. All other terms and conditons remain the same
