- Description
- The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego (SWRMC) intends to issue a solicitation for the repair and maintenance of Torpedo Weapons Retriever (TWR), and motor-generators and similar equipment for other small boats and crafts in the San Diego region. Contractor must have the ability to provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts/material to support TWR repair and maintenance. OEM is Caterpillar Inc. In addition, contractor's repair technicians must be trained and have experience in repairing specified equipment. The contractor must have direct access to OEM proprietary drawings, technical information and factory product updates and revisions to support repairs and maintenance. The following Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) are applicable for the TWR proposed equipment: Main Engine APL: 664810115, Transmission APL: 694090004 and Motor-Generators APL: 664810117 and 161360009. In addition, the following APLs are applicable for other small boats and crafts: Diesel Engine (Bow Thruster) APL: 66A050010i and Diesel Engine Generator Set APL: 16A050007i. Work to be accomplished at the contractor's facility or naval facility. Contractor's facility must be located within 50 miles of Naval Station San Diego to accommodate required checkpoints conducted by the Navy. SWRMC intends to 1) award an Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity multiple award contract with a minimum guarantee, and 2) then compete subsequent delivery orders among those firms that are awarded contracts. The delivery orders will be firm-fixed price. Contract period will be for five years from the date of contract award.
