Description
W911S8-08-B-0009 The Department of the Army, Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Enterprise and Installation Operations, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Lewis, Washington, is currently requesting information in order to determine the existence of viable commercial sources capable of providing complete services as stated in the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for servicing of grease traps/interceptors and removal and disposal of waste cooking oil/grease located at U.S. Army Garrison Fort Lewis, WA. The draft PWS and Bid Schedule are available on the Fort Lewis Directorate of Contracting website http://www.lewis.army.mil/doc under Solicitations. If you are interested and are capable of providing the required services as described in the draft PWS, please email your company name, phone number, email address, DUNS, and CAGE code to Darlene.Anderson@us.army.mil no later than 12:00:00 PM (noon) PDT on 24 July 2008. Include any comments or questions you may have in reference to the draft PWS. Interested companies are encouraged to: a. Evaluate and challenge all elements of the draft PWS. b. Identify requirements that account for a high percentage of total cost or are unduly restrictive. c. Identify techniques or methods that would result in delivery of better service. d. Identify any new technology approaches or techniques appropriate for the procurement described in the draft PWS that would result in a better performing contract or in cost savings to either party. The intended contract period is a base year with four (4) option years and is to begin on or about November 1, 2008. The Bid Schedules for the Option Years are the same as the Bid Schedule for the Base Year shown at the bottom of the Draft PWS. This notice is to assist the Department of the Army in determining sources only. The Government is not soliciting offers at this time, and it will be the Contracting Officer who will determine which suggested changes are accepted. This is a sources sought notice to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. A solicitation is not currently available.
