Description

The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to enter into a sole source contract with Dr. Brent Boyack to perform the TRACE 5.0 Documentation Reorganization. The period of performance will be one year. Dr. Boyack is the only individual outside of the NRC who possesses all the required capabilities to perform this work and possesses the requisite experience to modify the TRACE User Guide without requiring additional familiarization with background material. Dr. Brent Boyack is a thermal-hydraulic code expert with 37 years experience with nuclear reactor activities. His unique skills and experience with the TRACE code are difficult to find and are required to perform the proposed activity. Most of Dr. Boyack’s career has been involved in nuclear accident analysis including design basis and severe accident analyses. This is not a request for competitive proposals. Requests for copies of this solicitation will not be honored unless the respondent provides evidence showing their capability to perform the required services.
