Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), is soliciting industry comments to refine the Statement of Work and Performance Specification for the Ground Radio Maintenance Automatic Test System (GRMATS). The GRMATS is a digital, software-defined automatic radio test system. Current and future tactical radio procurements by Program Manager for Communications and Networking Systems (PM CNS) will be software defined ground radio communications sets that are difficult to support with the current suite of ground radio test/maintenance equipment. Software defined radios will require software defined test measurement and diagnostic equipment to allow maintenance shops to support this equipment. The GRMATS will be used for test and diagnostic functions for both current and future software-defined, tactical radios. This RFI is issued to provide industry the opportunity to review the draft Statement of Work and Performance Specification and provide comments and feedback to the below listed point of contact. Interested firms should submit responses to this RFI no later than 05 August 2008 to Marine Corps Systems Command, ATTN: Mark Sanderson, CESS, CTQ3MS, 2200 Lester Street, Quantico, Va. 22134. This information may also be submitted to mark.sanderson@usmc.mil. Interested firms should submit their business size information. Submitted information will not be returned. All data received in response to this announcement marked or designated, as corporate or proprietary information will be protected from release outside the Government in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act provisions. Comments will not be published. This Request for Information is provided for informational purposes only. This is not a request for proposal (RFP), invitation for bid (IFB), request for quotation (RFQ), or an announcement of a solicitation. No solicitation document exists. The submission of this information is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to procure these items, nor does the Marine Corps intend to award on the basis of this request for information or otherwise pay for the information requested. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information.
