- WANTED TO LEASE OFFICE SPACE TO THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT The United States Government desires to lease approximately 27,974 usable square feet of office space and forty (40) inside, reserved, secured parking spaces. The delineated area is outlined as follows: CITY:Columbus, Ohio NORTH:Nationwide Blvd./Arena district and beyond to Vine Street/Naghten Street SOUTH:W. Whittier Street/E. Kossuth Street above Shiller Park EAST:N. Grant/S. Grant Avenue area WEST:Area along Scioto River up to Neil Avenue and Vine Street area The space must be fully serviced and altered to meet the Federal Government's standards for Fire Safety and Handicapped Accessibility. The space offered must be contiguous. Criteria that eliminates commercial space from consideration for new office space: Proposed office space is on the first floor or below the first floor of the building. Proposed office space is on the top floor of the building and rooftop access is within the space. Proposed office space has public parking underneath or within the building. Proposed office space is inside a shopping mall or shopping center. Proposed building houses day care facilities, abortion clinics, mental health clinics, or drug rehabilitation clinics, immigrations, probations, public defenders, and o/or social services within the building. Proposed building has metered or public parking in front, behind, or next to the building. Proposed building is within 1,000 feet of residential areas, places of worship, schools, hospitals, prisons, abortion clinics, mental health clinics, drug rehabilitation clinics and/or day care facilities. Proposed office space is located in a flood plain area, near power plans, electrical transformers, night clubs, bars or in close proximity to airport, radar dishes and aircraft flight paths. Office space shall be sprinklered, with men and women handicap restroom. Occupancy is desired by Spring 2009. The lease term will be for 10 years, with 5 years being firm. Brokers or agents who represent the prospective landlord for any properties or proposals submitted, must submit written evidence stating they are authorized to represent the building's ownership.
