- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center has a requirement for a quantity of fourteen (14) Closure Protective Covers used to protect the TOMAHAWK CCLS Capsule Closure Assembly during handling, shipping, and storage. Due to numerous solicitation provision changes solicitation N66604-08-Q-3438 is being reissued as solicitation N66604-08-R-3438Applicable documents will be released with the solicitation. Technical requirements have not changed. This procurement is being processed as 100% small business set-aside. Due to restricted distribution statements the drawings will not be posted on our website. Joint Certification Program (JCP) registered contractors may send an e-mail request for the drawings to Alison Wicks at Alison.c.wicks@navy.mil citing RFQ N66604-08-R-3438; include company name and address, JCP number, cage code, FEDEX ID, telephone number and point of contact. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award. Instructions for registering are available at the CCR website. Prospective contractors must also have an active ORCA registration. Instructions for registering are available at https://orca.bpn.gov/. The solicitation (N66604-08-R-3438) will be posted on or about 21-July-2008 and the closing date will be listed on the solicitation. Offers received after the date specified are late and will not be considered for award. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
