- Description
- The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking qualified firms to rehabilitate existing water system for fire storage and supply. The project is located in the Bear Valley Headquarters area of Point Reyes National Seashore (PRNS), located in West Marin County, California. The work of this project will require the contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals as needed to: construct new water storage tank (70,000 gallon) and level control system; construct booster pump station and associated controls; install pipeline (6" PVC) from water storage tank to connection to existing distribution system; and perform demolition and salvage of existing structures. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will include five related base bid items and three bid additives that will be subject to the availability of funding at the time of award. The project range is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000 with a performance period not to exceed 180 days after receipt of a notice to proceed. Award selection will be based on a best value determination made after considering price and factors other than price, such as the contractor's experience performing similar work and other criteria as identified in the RFP. The RFP will be available via electronic commerce only and can be accessed on or after Monday, August 4, 2008 at either http://www.fbo.gov or directly through the DOI National Business Center site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The due date for receipt of proposals will be 30 days after the date of issuance of the RFP. The contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFP. This acquisition is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely received, will be considered. The NPS welcomes the participation of small, minority, women, and disabled veteran owned business enterprises.
