- PLACE OF PERFORMANCE USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), @ Naval Station Norfolk COMPLETE AND DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES NEEDED: 1. Request a containment enclosure to support flight deck landing area nonskid replacement. The Containment Enclosure dimensions shall be 340 feet by 85 feet. Initial set up with two moves shall be accomplished on board the ships flight deck. A. The containment enclosure structure must be modular in design and configurable if necessary.B. It should be easily movable using small forklifts and / or manpower without breakdown and set-up delays.C. It must be constructed of light weight fire resistant materials and be designed to distribute the load over the covered area and to protect the new coating from damage. The total weight of the system must allow for a maximum point load of 1600 lbs/sqft. Pneumatic wheels must be soft enough to prevent damage to the new non-skid.D. Structure must be capable of spanning up to 340 feet long by 85 feet wide without internal support. Internal deck areas must be unobstructed to allow access, ten feet tall as a minimum clear height. The structure shall have as a minimum, one sealable access opening at each end, ten feet tall by twelve feet wide. E. Structure and containment fabric must be capable of withstanding 70 mph winds.F. Containment fabric must be easily repairable, sealable, and capable of containing and excluding pollutants.CHECK POINT (V) (G) Environmental Conditions Set. (At Initial set and Reset)G. Containment enclosure must be capable of establishing and maintaining a controlled environment in accordance with NSTM Chapter 634, table 634-3-6.CHECK POINT (V) (G) No Leaks Allowed. (At Initial Set and Reset)H. The enclosure must include an integral watertight seal around the base, capable of conforming to the deck and excluding all water from the work areas.I. Illumination inside the containment shall be a minimum of 50 foot candle power at the working surface.J. Air exchange, as a minimum of 4 complete exchanges per hour.2. The contractor shall be self sufficient. Electrical power may be purchased from NAVFAC MIDLANT: POC is Paul Milbourn, 757-445-7447. Set up an account for labor and commodities with comptroller at least one week in advance at 757-444-1271, X-3184 or X-3186.3. The contractor will be required to construct and set required environmental conditions of the enclosure initially over the landing area, plus two additional moves and reset of environmental conditions, as directed by the SUPERVISOR to accomplish the task of replacing 55,000 square feet of landing area non-skid.4. The contractor shall lift equipment directly to and from the flight deck due to Aircraft Elevator scheduled maintenance. CLOSING IS 7/18/08 1000 EASTERN DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME
