Description
The Air Force is seeking sources for a potential 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVOSB) concerns. IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE ACQUISITION WILL BE SOLICITED AS A 100 PERCENT SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does this issuance restrict the Government’s acquisition approach. This is a Sources Sought request to identify potential sources only. The intent of this announcement is to conduct market research to determine the availability and capability of HUBZone and SDVOSB firms. This project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, expertise, testing, surveying, equipment, reports, samples, warranties, and transportation necessary to demolish the Inflight Kitchen, Bldg 1105, at McConnell AFB, KS 67221. The principal items of work include, but are not limited to demolition of the building and its contents, removal of asbestos, plus backfilling, regarding, and reseeding the area. Additional work includes removing some pavement and installing new curbs. The applicable NAICS Code is 238910 with a size standard of $13M. The magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. Interested HUBZone and SDVOSB firms must demonstrate the company’s capability, experience and/or ability to perform the tasks described above. PRIME contractors who are HUBZone certified or SDVOSB who intend to submit a proposal for the forthcoming solicitation MUST submit the following information by 4:00 p.m. CST on 20 July 2008: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal for the forthcoming solicitation as a Prime contractor; (2) A list of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contact with current phone numbers and email addresses; (3) Evidence of capability to be bonded for proposal, performance, and payment bonds. The information provided must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested HUBZone or SDVOSB concerns. Responses shall be limited to five (5) pages. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor being considered not interested in this requirement. Submit your response by e-mail to paula.thrasher@mcconnell.af.mil. All contractors MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and ORCA database or they will not be considered. Contractors can obtain further information on the Central Contractor registration (CCR) and ORCA registration at web site http://www.ccr.gov/ and http://orca.bpn.gov/.
