- Description
- General Description: Work entails removing the existing asphalt shingle roof and reinstalling a new asphalt shingle roof on a warehouse located at the BLM complex in Malta Montana. This includes providing all the labor to remove the existing roof and legally disposing of the materials and all the labor and materials to install a new roof as per specifications and drawings (Line Item 1). Once the exiting asphalt roofing is removed, the Government will inspect the substrate and determine whether to install an overlay of new sheathing as a nailing surface (Line Item 2). Specifications and drawings will be provided with the Request for Quotation (RFQ). There will be two line items as described above. Line Item 2 will be exercised at the Government's discretion.The contractor will have 45 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed to complete the work. All work shall occur after May 1 or before September 30. Project must be completed once it has begun (cannot start in the fall and be completed the following spring).ESTIMATED PRICE IS UNDER $25,000. For contracts greater than $30,000, 100 percent payment protection will be required. Payment protection in the form of an Irrevocable Letter of Credit, Certificate of Deposit, or Payment Bond is required within ten (10) days of Notice of Award.Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is required at the time of award. Online Representations Application (ORCA) is not mandatory; however, it is highly recommended. Both sites can be found by going to www.bpn.gov. This RFQ will be posted to http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 28, 2008. A Site Tour is planned; information about this tour will be available in the RFQ. Quotes will be due approximately 30 days after the RFQ is posted; that date will be identified in the RFQ. No hard copies will be made available. Please include a phone number where you can be reached.This procurement is a total SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. However, all emerging small and small business concerns are encouraged to respond. If a fair and reasonable quote is NOT received by a responsible and responsive Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concern, quotes received from emerging small business and small business concerns will be considered - in that order - without further notice. The Small Business Size Standard for this contract is NAICS 238160 - Roofing Contractors - which is currently set at $13 million dollars.
