Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (Shipping Containers) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). RFQ # M67399-08-Q-0060 The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-18. This is a restricted purchase set-aside for 100% Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 332439. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) for this order is 3537. The small business size standards are 500 EMP. The Federal Supply Classification (FSC) for this order is 8145. This solicitation is for the procurement of shipping containers. The requirement is listed as follows: CLIN 0001- SHIPPING CONTAINER. The Federal Government is procuring standardized shipping containers. The quantity is 8 units. Each container must be able to be utilized on a standard Air Force pallet (463L). The length of container is 96 inches. The width is 84 inches. The height is 48 inches. These dimensions are approximate. The containers must have internal forklift pockets accessible from all sides. The containers must have the following options: breather valves, desiccant baskets and humidity indicators, drain plugs, internal tie down and attachment points and ballistic protection. The color requirement is desert tan. Requested delivery is 4 weeks ARO.Place of contract delivery will be at Camp Wilson, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC)/Marine Corps Air Ground Task Force Training Command (MCAGTFTC), Twenty-nine Palms, CA 92278. The winner of this award is required to be registered with, understand, and invoice through Wide Area Workflow.
