- This procurement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. NOAA, Marine Engineering Division located in Seattle, WA requires a contractor is to install components listed on the attached sheets into new cabinets that will be installed on board the ship at a later date. The equipment being installed is to provide automatic load control for all four ship's generators that will control both loading and unloading generators as appropriate when putting a generator on line or taking it off line to ensure that electrical loads are minimized during this process. The system is to work directly with existing ship's generators and primary electrical systems. Regulating instruments and transformers are to be replaced as required for proper load monitoring and control. Specifically, the modifications will include providing a Woodward AGLC control panel, logic circuits for relays, and revision of the current transformers that feed the existing load share modules. In order to provide proper load sharing between generators under any configuration for power generation, the new cabinets are to also incorporate new Basler DECS 200 digital voltage regulators. The work for the new regulators will include replacement of droop current transformers, replacing voltage feedback transformers to reduce feedback from 600 to 120 volts, and replacement of switchboard and console meters to provide operators with accurate and reliable monitoring information. The new digital regulator and load control components will be delivered at a later date to a location that has yet to be determined. The contractor will store completed cabinets at his facility until this information is available.
