- The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Artesia, New Mexico, anticipates awarding commercial item multiple award IDIQ firm fixed price contracts for commercial training ammunition various handgun calibers for law enforcement officer firearms training courses at the FLETC and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as follows: 357 SIG 125 GR Jacketed Hollow Point (JHP) 38 Wadcutter 148 Grain 40 SW 180 GR JHP 40 SW 155 GR JHP 40 SW 165 JHP 45 ACP 230 GR JHP 9MM 115 GR JHP All ammunition must meet SAAMI specification. The maximum estimated quantity has yet to be determined, as well as the delivery schedule per order will vary. The NAICS code is 332992, with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. FLETC is considering whether or not to set aside this acquisition for HUBZone business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB), or Small Business Concerns. In accordance with FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified or IAW 19.1405, if your firm is SDVOSB and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, then those interested Business Concerns should indicate their interest to the Contracting Officer, in writing, as early as possible but NO LATER THAN 4:00 p.m., EDT, July 28, 2008. At a minimum, the following information is required: (a) a copy of the certificate issued by the SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern or a statement that you are a SDVOSB, (b) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor, (c) evidence of experience in similar type supply to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact with telephone numbers. All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern or SDVOSB. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns and SDVOSBs by July 28, 2008, this solicitation will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside basis without further notice.
