- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR UPSBATTERY REPLACEMENT AND MONITORING SYSTEM. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s)in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ anda written amendment will not be issued.The purpose of this amendment is to add Answers to submitted Questions.Q1 Hours to perform work? A1: The government does not have a time estimate for thisjob. Q2 Are the batteries and UPS located in the same room? If not, ~ distance between eachunit? A2: See Answer to Q3Q3 Are the 2 UPS Modules and 4 battery strings all near each other (e.g. are the 2systems in different rooms by chance?). A3: The two UPS modules and the associatedswitching unit will be located on the second floor adjacent to each other. The 4 batterycabinets will be located on the first floor adjacent to each other below the UPS's.Q4 Building and room access-(1st floor, dock space, stairs or restricted door size)?A4: There are no restricted door or stairs size. See Answer to Q3Q5 The requirements call for testing of the battery and monitor system afterinstallation. There are several different classifications of testing per IEEE standardsand to bid properly, we will need to know the testing standards requested) A5: Pleaseuse testing standard ANSI/IEEEStd 450Q6 Is commissioning of the battery monitor being requested also?A6: YesQ7If neither the batteries nor the monitor are made by Leibert, why does thecontractor have to be Leibert Authorized? A7:Batteries are to be placed into aLiebert/Emerson UPS system and the Monitor in to be connected to the same system. Alsothere is an existing Service contract for these items with Liebert representative whichprecludes non-Liebert contractors from working on the system. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASAAcquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on July 3, 2008.
