Description
Design and Construction or the Construction Only of Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facilities in the Eastern Region This is a Sources Sought advertisement only. No solicitation exists at this time. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District is seeking firms interested in submitting proposals for a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for the Design and Construction, or the Construction only for Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facilities located in the Eastern Region comprised of the following states, CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, RI, VA, VT, WV, AL, FL, GA, KY, MS, NC, SC, TN which have 236220 among their approved NAICS Codes. MATOC has a total estimated capacity of $450,000,000.00 over four years. The average task order in this pool is estimated at $22M. These facilities will be used for the maintenance, repair, and storage of military tactical vehicles and equipment. The facilities are usually part of an overall complex centered on a vehicle maintenance facility. A major part of most projects will include extensive concrete hardstand and fencing. Development of the facility may also include associated site development necessary to construct TEMF. Heating and air conditioning will generally be provided by self-contained units. Comparable projects in the private sector that are similar to the construction contemplated include: heavy equipment maintenance facilities, vehicle fleet service facilities, and “jiffy-lubes”. All interested contractors have until 8 August 2008 at 4:30 PM to submit your company’s business size, evidence of capabilities and bonding capabilities in accordance with FAR 28.1.
