Description

This is a synopsis for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12 for rental and placing of floor rug mats at the Defense Supply Center Columbus, 3990 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH. The contractor shall furnish and place on a weekly basis, floor rug mats for use in entrance ways, hallways and work areas throughout the Center. Mats shall be of 100 percent nylon pile yarn, vinyl backed and chemically treated to remove dust and grime from footwear. Mats shall also be flame retardnat, no-slip and non-skid and have beveled edge. All floor rug mats shall lay flat and be free from any ripple, bulges, curled edges, curled corners, etc. All mats shall be uniform in color and texture and be charcoal/dark gray in color. The approximate numbers of mats to be provided are: 5'x8' (33 ea.); 3'x15' (30 ea.); 5'x15' (75 ea.); 3'x4' (150 ea.); 3'x5' (11 ea.); 3'x10' (3 ea.); 4'x6' (55 ea.) and 5'x10' (2 ea. monogrammed mats with the DLA emblem and a minimum of seven colors). A one-year contract with four potential one-year option periods in being contemplated. FOB point shall be destination. Issue date of the solicitation is July 29, 2008. Offers are due by 1:00PM EST on 19 Aug 08.
