This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this request. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is issuing this acquisition as a Request for Quote (RFQ) under solicitation number E006913. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 423430, Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers. The size standard for this requirement is 100 employees. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. Brand name or equal will be accepted. One (1) box must hold 20 drives with foam inserts. **Shipping will be to two (2) different locations in Maryland and Virginia. A Ship-To-List with allocated quantities will be provided to the Awardee. **Quotes shall include all shipping costs as applicable. All deliveries under this requirement will be FOB destination. Responses shall be submitted via electronic submission to Amy Lacy at aelacy@fbiacademy.edu. The due date for responses to this RFQ is on or before July 24, 2008 at 9:00 am Eastern Daylight Time. Responses must be marked as follows: "RFQ E006913." All correspondence regarding this requirement must be submitted to Amy Lacy via email. Quotes shall include a point of contact, contractor DUN's number and TIN number. This RFQ incorporates the provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation Circular 2005-26. The provision at FAR Clause 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors (June 2008) and addendum are incorporated into this solicitation. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items is incorporated by reference. This requirement will be awarded to the low price technically acceptable (LPTA) offeror. Quotes offering "equal" products(including products of the brand name manufacturer other than the one described by the brand (name) will be considered if such product(s) is (are) clearly identified in the quote and is (are) determined by the FBI to meet fully the salient characteristics on above products. Unless the vendor clearly indicates in their quote that they are offering an "equal" products, the quote shall be considered as offering a brand name product referenced in this synopsis/solicitation. If the offeror proposes to furnish an "equal" product, the brand name of the product to be furnished shall be provided in the quote. All quotes will be considered.
