Description
The Department of the Army, HQ, U.S. Army Joint Munitions and Lethality LCMC,Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. 07806-5000 intends to solicit and negotiate, on a solesource basis, with Laser Techniques Company, LLC 6742 185th Ave. NE, Suite 300,Redmond, WA 98052, under approved authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1);Ref FAR 6.302-1 (ii) (A and B). This procurement is to deliver one (1) LaserBore Mapping sensor for the 7.62 mm barrel. The sensor must be compatiblewithout any flaws with the hardware and software of the existing 5.56 mm lasermapping system. The sensor shall offer a non-contact measurement andinspection solutions using laser mapping notion for a range of barrels boresand shall have high-resolution laser calipers that take a rapid successionof single-point distance measurements while scanning over the target surface.The sensor shall operate as a Class II laser product (no special eyeprotection required during operation) and be capable of providing a quantitative map of the inspected part in 3-D image; features such as pits,erosion, and deformation can be rapidly located and accurately measured. The sensor shall include mechanisms for self- calibration and calibrationverification and must be capable of mapping and inspecting of all 7.62 mm guntubes such as M110, M14, M24 and M240 weapons systems.
