Description
DescriptionThe Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWARSYSCOM), on behalf of the Program Executive Office Space Systems and its SPAWAR Space Field Activity, is seeking to award a sole source FAR Part 12 based firm-fixed- price purchase order, via a combined synopsis/solicitation procedure and pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 (Only One Responsible Source), to University of Southern California's Information Sciences Institute for instruction and training of the SATT 4265 course. This unique comprehensive course is modified and tailored at the classified TS/SCI level and all attendees must hold a TS/SCI security clearance verified by their SSO. The contractor shall provide instruction in the following areas: a) Introduction to the Intelligence Community b) Operational Information Systems c) Satellite Orbits d) Astronautics e) Space Mission Geometry f) Orbit & Constellation Fundamentals g) Antenna Theory h) Fundamentals of Radar i) Synthetic Aperture Radar Principles j) Communication Theory k) Telemetry Analysis l) Digital Signals Processing m) Spread Spectrum n) Geo-location Techniques o) Imagery Processing p) Special Topics when requested by attendees/customer The first of two, five-day consecutive sessions will be held 04 - 08 August, 2008 and the second session to be held 11 15 August 2008. The course will run from 0800 until 1700 each day for each session. The course will be held in the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Engineering Center Charleston, SC, at the Main Engineering Center, BLDG 3147 Lab 1L13, SCIF Conference Room, One Innovation Drive, Hanahan, SC 29406. Solicitation release is planned for no later than 23 July 2008 with contract award no later than 29 July 2008. The total period of performance is 04 August to 15 August 2008.
