Description

Request a self-sustaining U.S. or foreign flag RO/RO, LO/LO, or RO/RO-LO/LO combination vessel capable of discharging in-stream to lighterage in a shallow anchorage/port to lift approximately 26 pieces totaling 3,156 square feet of cargo. The cargo contains hazardous materials including ammunition. In accordance with the Cargo Preference Act of 1904 and Section IIIA.3 of the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) (see 69 FEDERAL REGISTER 62898, Nov 7, 2007, or most current reference), preference will be given to U.S. flag vessels and VISA participants. Cargo Description: (Cargo List Available Upon Request) (1) Front End Loader, (1) 11k Forklift, other wheeled vehicles, break bulk cargo, and (9) containers (ammo) Cargo Dimensions: Longest piece: 128 inches Widest piece: 102 inches Tallest piece: 302 inches Heaviest piece: 112.5 STONS Hazardous Material: Containerized Ammo (Tricons): Class 1.4S Load: Free In Discharge: Liner Out Load Port: Rota Naval Station, Spain Available to Load Date (ALD)11 Aug 08 Load Amount (SQFT):3,156 Port Restrictions: Vessels anchor in the bay in depths between 4-10m and work cargo using lighters/barges. Vessel will need to hire a barge to transport cargo from anchorage to pier as part of Liner Out terms. Bunkering: Not available.
