Description: THIS IS ONLY THE ADVANCED NOTICE. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED AFTER AUGUST 7, 2008 FOR REQUIRED SUPPLIES GENERALLY DESCRIBED BELOW. NO RESPONSE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This will be a small business set-aside.NAICS Code: 423310Size Standard: 100 Employees Purpose: The National Park Service is looking to purchase and have delivered Treated and Untreated DF lumber for the repair and reconstruction of a historic building at Kennecott, in Wrangell St. Elias National Park, Alaska. This will be a supply only acquisition. This element of work shall consist of all work necessary to supply and deliver the requested material. All lumber to be Douglas Fir - Structural Grade #1 or better. All treated lumber shall be treated with ACQ Type B with a minimum of 0.4 retention and conforming to West Coast Best Practices for Aquatic Environments. (Conforms to WWPA Ratings.) Lumber shall be rough sawn to "true dimensions" and S4S to the sizes listed. An example of what lumber sizes will be requested are sizes that range from 2"x12", 3" x 12", 4"x4" thru 8" X 8" timbers. The exact lumber sizes and quantities will be provided in the solicitation when it is released. ALL VENDORS WISHING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS SOLICITATION MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) DATABASE PRIOR TO AN AWARD BEING MADE.
