- The US ARMY CECOM LCMC intends to acquire 415 each AN-PVS-7 Night Vision Goggles, FOM 1250, Gen II, 96 each AN-AVS-9 Aviator Goggles, FOM 1250, and AVS-9 Night Vision Goggles Training Rotary Wing Night Vision Operator Training KEY FEATURES for AN-PVS-7 Night Vision Goggles: Automatic Brightness Control,Low Battery Indicator,Rapid Recovery Bright Source Protection (BSP),Built-in IR illuminator, Quick release lever for one-hand mounting - dismounting from headgear The AN-PVS-7 is a night vision goggle designed for military applications. It is available in both Generation II and III tubes and is the same unit used by the U.S. Armed Forces. The performance is in accordance with military specification MIL-G-49313 (CR). The housing is shock resistant and sealed from the environment. The unit is simple to operate,is powered by 2 AA batteries and can be handheld or headmounted (adjustable head mount included). The unit provides clear viewing and includes a built-in IR illuminator when additional illumination is required. Includes: Head mount assembly, Demist shield (2), Sacrificial window, Soft eyecups (2), Soft carrying case, Shoulder strap, Neck cord, Front lens cap, Operators Manual, Two (2) AA Batteries, Options, Helmet mount assembly, Battery 2 AA or BA-5567, Battery Life Approximately 40 hours Field of View 40o,Dimensions 16.5 by 15.25 by 7.6 cm, 6.5 by 6 by 3 inches, Weight 680 grams (1.5 lbs), Magnification 1X, Generation II and III Resolution 51 lp-mm Focus Range 0 to infinity. The AN-AVS-9 is the standard night flying system for air crews in the U.S. Air Force and Navy. Over 20,000 units are in use in over 37 countries around the world. The system is available in over 40 different configurations. The type of aircraft and type of helmet being used will determine which configuration will best meet the customers requirements. Includes, Carrying case, Lens cap, Lens paper, Helmet modification instructions, Neck cord (rotary wing version), Low profile battery pack (rotary wing), Operators manual, Options, Helmet mounts (specify type of helmet).
