The US ARMY CECOM LCMC intends to acquire 200 each AN-PVS-7 Night Vision Goggles, FOM 1250, Gen II, 2 each Purge Kit AN-PVS-7 Night Vision Goggles, 2 each TS-4348 Test Set, Training PVS-7 Night Vision Goggle Operator Training KEY FEATURES for AN-PVS-7 Night Vision Goggles: Automatic Brightness Control,Low Battery Indicator,Rapid Recovery Bright Source Protection (BSP),Built-in IR illuminator, Quick release lever for one-hand mounting - dismounting from headgear The AN-PVS-7 is a night vision goggle designed for military applications. It is available in both Generation II and III tubes and is the same unit used by the U.S. Armed Forces. The performance is in accordance with military specification MIL-G-49313 (CR). The housing is shock resistant and sealed from the environment. The unit is simple to operate,is powered by 2 AA batteries and can be handheld or headmounted (adjustable headmount included). The unit provides clear viewing and includes a built-in IR illuminator when additional illumination is required. Includes: Head mount assembly, Demist shield (2), Sacrificial window, Soft eyecups (2), Soft carrying case, Shoulder strap, Neck cord, Front lens cap, Operators Manual, Two (2) AA Batteries, Options, Helmet mount assembly, Battery 2 AA or BA-5567, Battery Life Approximately 40 hours Field of View 40o,Dimensions 16.5 x 15.25 x 7.6 cm, 6.5 x 6 x 3 inches, Weight 680 grams (1.5 lbs), Magnification 1X, Generation II and III Resolution 51 lp-mm Focus Range 0 to infinity. The Purge Kit AN-PVS-7 Night Vision Goggles, purge kit operates via an easy-to-operate manual vacuum pump, which requires no electricity. Weighing only 32 lbs., the purge kit contains all the equipment needed to purge night vision devices. Straightforward, detailed instructions enable fast and effective purging both at the maintenance facility and in the field. A purge-valve torque-limiting screwdriver and screwdriver bit which is specified for. PURGE ADAPTERS: Purge adapters to meet specific needs for the following types of night vision equipment: AN-AVS-6, AN-AVS-9, AN-PVS-5, AN-PVS-7 and AN-PVS-14, KITE & SOPELEM NVGs, and F7000 & F7001. The Night Vision Test Set, TS-4348-UV, provides a standard by which field personnel may determine the resolution performance of night vision devices. Such field assessment is essential to assure mission success and personnel safety. The test set contains a standard resolution target chart, uniformly illuminated with near infrared light optimized for evaluating performance of Gen 2 and Gen 3 devices. The system can be used to test goggles, weapon sights and drivers viewers. Two toggle switches enable the operator to select high and low light level test conditions for both Gen 2 and Gen 3 systems.
