Description
The US Army, CECOM- Life Cycle Management Command (CECOM- LCMC) is seeking potential sources for the production of AS-3449-VSQ-1 antenna. The national stock number (NSN) is 5985-01-183-9462. The Drawing-Part Number for this effort is A3005031. The AS-3449-VSQ-1 Antenna is Omni-directional and designed for use with the Enhanced Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) Vehicle Radio Set AN-VSQ-1. The antenna is produced to meet all the requirements of the U.S. Army CECOM-LCMC Specification A3005036. This includes a Mean-Time-Between Failure (MTBF) of more than 100,000 hours, capability of operation in 55 knot winds with gusts up to 85 knots, and capability of operation with 4.5 pounds per square inch of ice coating on the antenna. The antenna assembly is comprised of the Base (A3005067-1) and the Antenna radiating Element (A3005068-1). Both drawings are source controlled. The response should be a short introductory description (unclassified) outlining a viable approach that meets the above needs, and should address production capability. The response shall also demonstrate that the interested party has previously manufactured similar items in the past, or has the ability to manufacture the AS-3449-VSQ-1 Antenna to the latest configuration baseline. The Government possesses the configuration baseline data-technical data for the AS-3449-VSQ-1 Antenna. No Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) will be provided for this effort. This market survey (sources sought) is not a request for competitive proposals. Capabilities-qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses will be evaluated for their viability. The determination of the procurement strategy, based upon responses to this market survey, is solely within the discretion of the Government. All sources may submit a response, which will be considered by the Government. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
