- Description
- The existing GS breakers have a max 37500Amps at 8 cycles. The max voltage is 4160v with a range factor =1. 1. Why is range factor =1? It should be 32.5ka or 35ka or 40ka (range factor should be 1.24 for 36ka) Answer: Range factor (K1) will be one as per new ANSI (1999 Revision) 2. Are MOC switches required? It makes a difference in our pricing structure if they are or not. Answer: MOC switch adapter normally comes with new circuit breaker whether or not switchgear is fitted with MOC switches. 3. Are there specifications from the government regarding this job? Answer: Government specs is limited to the breakers to ensure that they are suitable to replace existing with no modification to the breaker cubicles in the switchgear. 4. Is onsite installation or training part of the requirements? These are both services that we can offer as well. Answer: Installation and operation of new breakers should not be any different than the existing breakers. SUITABLE REPLACEMENT. 5. We require a digital photo of the nameplates for both amperages of breakers to gain the necessary data for quotation by GE. Answer: We do not have digital photo of the data plate for the 2000A frame breaker available. Again, two breakers are en-route to Travis for vendor/manufacturer getting the contract to evaluate. 6. Also, is there anything against putting in multiple quotes, being that we work with so many companies? Answer: You can put in multiple quotes if the proposed product matches our specifications.
