Description
The Olympic National Forest, Washington, intends to acquire by contract: decommissioning of Forest Service Road No. 2920020, Pacific Ranger District. Work includes: clearing and grubbing; removal of culverts; drainage excavation – cross ditch; drainage excavation – sidecast pullback; construct grade dips; keyed riprap (Class 3)(culvert removals & cross ditches); construction of earth berm barrier; and seeding and mulching. Period for performance is from AUG. 18, 2008, to OCT. 31, 2008. In-stream work may be performed between AUG. 18th and SEPT. 30th. Project location is T29N, R10W, Sections 11 & 12, W.M., near Forks, Washington. Project Manager is Mr. Guadalupe Cisneros, (360) 956-2353. The government will proceed to issue a solicitation under FAR Part 12 for services (minor construction). This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value for the mandatory item and option item is between $50,000 and $100,000. Performance and payment bonds are required for this project. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. This solicitation will be available on or about JUL 24, 2008. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
