- Description
- Answer to Questions received on Combined Synopsis/Solicitation W15QKN-08-R-0461 1.Does the Army intend that the frequency range of 2.0 4.0 GHz be covered completely by this system; a continuum of frequencies so to speak? Ans: No, but it would take more tubes to cover that band. 2.How much peak and average RF power does the magnetron system need to provide? Ans: Please see attachment to this file charts.zip 3.What pulse widths and duty factors for the system? Ans: Please see attachment to this file charts.zip 4.Does the Army have any preferred limit on the working voltage for the magnetrons? Ans: The only preferred limit is that the voltage provided will operate the magnetron. 5.Will there be any reflected energy from test objects to contend with? Ans: Yes, since we are radiating metallic munitions. 6.What is the significance of line 4 of the minimum system performance requirements in mentioning the milotron tube? Ans: Each contractor has its own system performance. 7.Does the output power specified in line 5 apply to the milotron tube or the magnetrons, or both? Ans: Yes, any tube. See attachment for question 2 and 3.
