Description

Construction to install erosion control practices at Site T2 and Concord Strip at Fort Benning, Chattahoochee County, Georgia. Major items of work consists of mobilization/demobilization, clearing and grubbing, pollution control, seeding and mulching, excavation, contractor quality control, silt fence, erosion control blanket, and loose rock rip rap on Fort Benning, Chattahoochee County, Georgia. The solicitation is for full and open competition and is unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The duration of the project is 68 calendar days after notice to proceed. The following key personnel are required for the project: Dedicated superintendent, qualified surveyor, qualified quality control employee, qualified quality control, and qualified first-aid employee for each foreman’s work crew. The solicitation will be available approximately 15 days after this notice appears in FedBizOpps. You must use FedBizOpps to download the solicitation if you desire a copy. A site showing is scheduled for August 15, 2008 at 10:00 AM. All interested bidders should plan to meet at the USDA Service Center located at 111 Baker Street, Suite D, Buena Vista, Georgia 31803-0018. (In order to access these sites on Fort Benning, each individual must have a picture ID, The driver of the vehicle must have a valid drivers license, proof of insurance, and registration). Due to the difficulty in scheduling time with Fort Bennings Range Control manager, this will be the only site visit for this work. Bid opening date is September 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Federal Building, Room 250, 355 E. Hancock Avenue in Athens, Georgia 30601 for receipt of sealed bids in hardcopy original. Copies will be considered nonresponsive. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Range: Between $100,000 and $250,000.
