- Description
- The vendor shall supply equipment, shipping/rigging, and installation forBuilding 1530, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, for Wire Electrical Discharge Machining for manufacturing of physical components. The system shall be capable of cutting components up to a maximum size of 23" x 17" x 10" (X, Y, Z). The system shall be capable of cutting with a machining current of 40A, have a USB port and Ethernet connection for data transfer, have a submerged coolant tank, and have an automatic wire threader with wire chopper. The system shall have early power failure detection technology that is capable of protecting the machine and work in progress in the event of a power failure. The system shall be computer controlled with the ability to perform manual adjustments. The system shall come with a full enclosure tank to prevent coolant and water from coming into the machine shop. An LCD touch screen monitor will provide the user interface for the system, as well as an automated controller for the system which will be designed and built by the same manufacture as the physical system. The system shall come with master cam or equivalent CAD translation software and be ISO standard G-Code compatible. The system shall be procured to include the delivery, and setup required to use the equipment. Setup for the system shall be provided by the vendor and shall be completed within 2 weeks of delivery. A user manual shall be included with the system and shall be delivered with the equipment. The system shall include a manufacture warranty lasting for a period of no less then one year.
