Description
The Olympic National Forest, Washington, intends to acquire by contract: decommissioning of Forest Service Road No. 2180, Pacific Ranger District. Work includes: clearing and grubbing with slash disposal; removal of culverts, gabions and surrounding fill material; soil erosion and pollution control including dewatering, installation of cross drains, drainage swales and removal of sidecast material; construction of earth berm; and seeding and mulching. Period for performance is from AUG. 25, 2008, to OCT. 30, 2009. In-stream work may be performed between AUG. 6th and SEPT. 30th. Project location is T28N, R11W, Sections 4, 7, & 8, W.M., near Amanda Park, Washington. Project Manager is Ms. Karen Vonhof, (360) 288-2525. Solicitation includes a optional item for stockpiling 100 cubic yards of excess riprap material. The government will proceed to issue a solicitation under FAR Part 12 for services (minor construction). This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value for the mandatory item and option item is between $1000,000 and $250,000. Performance and payment bonds are required for this project. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. This solicitation will be available on or about JUL 23, 2008. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
