- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of maintenance services for CISCO Catalyst Switch equipment. The equipment is located at three FAA facilities, the Mid States Ops Control Center in Olathe, KS, Pacific Ops Control Center in San Diego, CA, and Atlantic Ops Control Center in Hampton, GA. The period of performance for the contract is September 01, 2008 through August 31, 2009. The attached draft equipment schedule provides specific support requirements, equipment part numbers, descriptions and serial numbers. The FAA anticipates that this contract will be awarded as an 8(a) certified business set-aside. We are conducting this survey in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811212, Computer and Office Machine Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of $23 million. This market survey shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these items. The FAA will not be liable for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to the Market Survey, nor reimburse or otherwise pay any costs incurred by any party responding to this announcement. The interested vendor's response must be submitted no later than 2:00 P.M. eastern time on August 8, 2008. All responses to this Market Survey must be in writing, on company letterhead, and must demonstrate that the company can meet the minimum support requirements provided. Limit responses to five pages and include a completed Business Declaration Form (Attached). The Business Declaration Form does not count in the page count. Please note that questions will not be accepted by telephone. Submit responses by overnight delivery or email to: Federal Aviation AdministrationAttn: Bill Willenbring, AJA-47800 Independence Ave S.W., Room 406Washington, DC 20591bill.willenbring@faa.gov
