THIS IS A SYNOPSIS AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2 - THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL. VENDORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT FORMAL QUOTES/PROPOSALS UNTIL THE RFQ/RFP IS POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE. The 45th Contracting Squadron has a requirement for a two (2) Trane air cooled 40 ton chillers, 460volt, 60 hertz, 3 phase; 50 degree set point; with no ice making control; low ambient damper control; non-fused, unit-mounted, disconnect switch; unit neoprene isolators (fld); compressor current sensing module; black epoxy (complete coat) coated coil; 4 ea. 10 ton compressors; 4ea. outdoor fan motors (1 hp @ 1140 rpm); R-22 refrigerant; and a 5-Yr replacement compressor warranty (parts only). This is a Brand Name Only procurement. Trane Division of American Standard Incorporated is the only manufacturer capable of fulfilling the government's requirement to provide a one for one replacement chiller that is compatible with the existing Trane high volume air conditioning systems precluding costly alterations. Proprietary design governing form and fit makes it impossible to use a chiller from another manufacturer without purchasing the other manufacturer's matching system.
