Description
Request for Information Provisions Affecting Civilian Employees Activated for Military Service Training Class The Bureau of the Public Debt's Administrative Resource Center is conducting market research to locate contractors capable of providing training on the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). Participants need to gain a thorough understanding of the Act, as well as learn how to administer USERRA to assure that an employee's rights are protected. Upon completion of the course, participants will learn: How to Process the SF-50 When an Employee is Activated (When Using Military Leave, Annual Leave, or LWOP-US) Reemployment Time Frames Positions to Which Restored Service Credit (Deposit Rules, Credit for National Guard Service, The Significance of "August 1, 1990" in Regards to Service Credit) Protections of Activated Employees During a RIF Health Insurance Coverage Rules Life Insurance Coverage Rules Civilian Pay Raises, WGIs, Automatic Promotions, Etc. While on Active Duty TSP Rules TSP Loan Status While on LWOP-US Military vs Civilian TSP Accounts Immediate Make-Up Agency Matching Contributions (TSP) Employees Make-Up Contributions (TSP) Qualified contractors must provide the following: 1. The name and location of your company, contact information, and identify your business size (Small Business, Large Business, Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, or HubZone) based on NAICS Code 611430, size standard $6.5m. Please ensure contact information includes the name of the point of contact, email address, and telephone number should the Government have questions regarding individual responses. 2. Whether your services are available through a GSA Schedule or Open Market. Responses to this request must be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. ET on August 1, 2008 and may be submitted electronically to PSB2@bpd.treas.gov to the attention of Geoff Barnes. The following file extensions are not allowable and application materials/data submitted with these extensions cannot be considered:.bat,.cmd,.com,.exe,.pif,.rar,.scr,.vbs,.hta,.cpl, and.zip files. Microsoft Office compatible documents are acceptable. No other information regarding this RFI will be provided at this time. This notice does not restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that the response is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to any resultant solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought notice. Interested offerors may register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov to receive notification when the solicitation and any amendments are issued and available for downloading. Please note that the General Services Administration provides the notification service as a convenience and does not guarantee that notifications will be received by all persons on the mailing list.
