Description
The purpose of this ammendment is to post answers to questions that have been received. 1) Can you please tell us what the windows are supposed to be? Aluminum, Vinyl or Wood? Answer: Vinyl. 2) Regarding CLIN 0006 - Windows, exterior 44" x 48" Are they vinyl or wood? Answer: Vinyl. 3) What type of window is sought, Double-hung, single-hung, casement or other? Answer: Single or Double is acceptable. 4) Is single strength glass acceptable or is insulated glass required? Answer: Single pane or un-insulated is preferred 5) What type of wood species if any is required on the wood doors? {CLIN 0001 & 02} Stain Grade or Paint Grade? Answer: paint grade 6) Do the steel doors have wood or metal jambs? Or are these just door slabs only? Answer: wood jambs 7) On the door knobs do you want the door knob key to match the dead bolt key? Answer: The government does not require the knob key to match the dead bolt key. 8) What are the windows made of? Wood, Alum. Vinyl? Color ? Answer: Vinyl, as for color no specific color is needed. 9) What grade of plywood do you require? ACX, CDX,CCX ?? Answer: CDX or construction grade is acceptable. 10) Is all of the lumber #2 & Better construction grade? Answer: All wood products should be construction grade 11) CLIN 0001 Door Type? Hardboard, Lauan, Birch, etc. Answer: No specific wood type is required. 12) CLIN 0002 Door Type? Hardboard, Lauan, Birch, etc. Answer: No specific wood type is required. 13) CLIN 0003 What is the thickness? Answer: The metal doors will be attached to standard 2x4" wooden studs. 14) CLIN 0004 What is the lock function? What is the grade of lock? 1, 2. 3? Answer: Grade 3 is sufficient. 15) CLIN 0005 Keyed to the lockset? What is the finish to be? (Chrome, Brass, etc.) Answer: The deadbolt key is not required to match the lockset. The government does not require a specific finish type. 16) CLIN 0006 Windows to be vinyl, wood, aluminum? Answer: Vinyl. 17) CLIN 0007 What is the size? Are they to be keyed alike? Answer: Grade #3 or better locks. Approximately 2-1/8 inch to 2-5/8 inch wide with about a 1-1/2 inch shackle. All keyed alike. 18) CLIN 0008 What grade? CDX or AC? Answer: CDX 19) CLIN 0009 What grade? Answer: construction grade is fine 20) CLIN 0010 What grade? Answer: construction grade is fine 21) CLIN 0011 What grade? Answer: construction grade is fine 22) Line Item # 1: Does the end user want a left or right hand door? Answer: either/mix - no preference 23) Line Item # 2: Does the end user want a left or right hand door? Answer: either/mix - no preference 24) Line Item # 3: What type of steel door does the end user want? Flush or six panels are the most common. Also either left or right hand. Answer: Mix of both flush and six-panel; mix of left and right hand. 25) Line Item # 6: Does the end user want wood or vinyl windows? Also, do they need new or replacement Windows? Answer: Vinyl, new. 26) Line Item # 7: What type of padlocks are desired? Do they need to be keyed separately, or all the same? See #17 27) CLIN 0003 Is this a 1-3/4" Metal door w/ a 4-9/16" jamb? Answer: See #13 28) CLIN 0003 Is this door going into an existing hollow metal frame? Answer: See #13 29) CLIN 0003 If so what are the hinge / lock location measurements? Answer: All doors are to be pre-hung and will be mounted into a wood frame opening. Clarification: All doors and window are pre-hung (meaning frames included) construction grade. All doors and windows will be mounted in wooden frame walls. Doors and windows shall be delivered on standard pallets (about 4'x4'; they should be standing upright and wrapped in plastic to hold them together. All items will be handled with a forklift so anything that is improperly packaged will not be acceptable.
