- This announcement constitutes only the pre-solicitation notice; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued on or around 12 August 2008. Solicitation number FA4600-08-B-0018 is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-23. All applicable provision and clauses are included in the actual solicitation. This electronic announcement constitutes the only pre-solicitation notice being issued. This solicitation is 100% set aside to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small business firms, all others will be deemed non responsive. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210, and the small business size standard is $13.0 Million. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price construction contract with a period of performance (POP) of 30 days to provide the following service: The contractor will provide the following services in the removal of three 650 KW Enterprise engine/generators located at Offutt Air Force Base in Building 518. • Disconnecting and removal of all pertinent power and control cables between the generators, switchgear, control panels and Enterprise engines and generators • Removal of equipment and wiring from Generator 1, Generator 2 and Generator 3 switchgear • Removal of equipment and wiring from Generator 1, Generator 2 and Generator 3 control panel • Cover cutouts left by removal of control panel equipment. • Remove and dispose oil and antifreeze from Enterprise engines • Remove piping from engines and cap lines as required • Remove piping to radiators • Remove silencers and intake filters • Patch grating where piping and conduit has been removed • Patch holes in building walls. (Material may not match existing) • Remove, load and haul away radiators, silencers and three engines/generators Please reference solicitation # FA4600-08-B-0018 on all correspondence. All quotations must be received by TSgt Tricia L. Meinders at the 55 Contracting Squadron, 101 Washington Square, and Offutt AFB 68113-2107. Bids must be valid for 30 days after the date that the bids are due. All contractors shall be ORCA registered http://orca.bpn.gov. All contractors are reminded, in accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contract Registration, that lack of registration in the CCR database BY AWARD DATE will make a contractor ineligible for award. NO PARTIAL QUOTES WILL BE CONSIDERED. NO PARTIAL AWARDS WILL BE MADE. Please acknowledge all requirements in bids. Direct all questions to TSgt Tricia L.
